Hi, I have experience for 15+ years in electronics/embedded development. I have several years of advanced AVR/arduino development, including library development from scratch. I have a working prototype that does exactly what you specified in the project description. Currently, the project consists of a single Arduino-IDE source code file with less than 100 lines of code. Here are some features of the code, as it is now: - All pins declared in the very beginning, can be adjusted easily (no "magic numbers" anywhere) - Uses only 4 buttons, 6 resistors, two LEDs, and 6 pins (4 in 2 out) - Works with any number of buttons, as long as there are enough pins (uses arrays, not 4 separate constants) - The "password" (123422) is easily adjustable, but hard-coded. The arduino must be reprogrammed in order to change the password. If you want, I could add a password-change mechanism. - Simple de-bouncing of buttons (time-based implementation) - There is no time-out (it doesn't matter how long it takes to type the password; can be modified) In particular, the firmware doesn't get stuck after 50 days (when millis() overflows): this could be a subtle bug that you can't see in the first 50 days; I made sure that my implementation does not break after 50 days. I would add a simple circuit diagram (for example sketched with Lucidchart) if I get the job. Best regards. Solve4x4

I have implemented the same lock in assembly language when I was in university. I think I can translate the algorithm used easily to arduino, I do own a arduino uno but don't have leds and buzzer however, io mapping is pretty standard on arduino. I can instruct you to which I/o pins they should be connected to after doing a sketch. Please inbox me for more information.
