Hello, we got fast , powerful and cost effective module other than NodeMCU, it's called ESP32 with ESP32, you can connect all your sensors to it, ESP32 can connect to a nearby router to send sensor data to web server response from server ( carrying your commands) is returned to actuate motors i can complete the task , creating APIs hosted on your own dedicated server see my profile for more of my previous client-server IoT projects i have done so far and yes you can control motion of field motors but not in real time, you should expect some lags due to internet latency

Hello, I have a good experience in ESP32/ESP8266 boards, in similar projects i have used Thingsboard IOT cloud to exchange data from sensors, control any actuator and receive notifications and alarms in critical cases (you can kindly check my portfolio items). I have developed the same in advance. You have to just upload that in your ESP8266 and run it. you can control the motor also and I will provide the steps to execute the code properly and will help you in the future if you need to change the code.
