Aim: • To produce a short, written policy brief on the Case 2 topic: ‘Navigating complexity in humanitarian medical emergencies: the case of Ebola in West Africa’ Objectives: • Summarise key information on an assigned scientific topic on which you may have little or no technical expertise • Produce some preliminary policy recommendations on the topic, based on an undertaking of Bardach’s 8-steps • Produce a policy brief for a specified audience, taking in to account: their likely expertise and information needs, personal or professional interest • Plan, write and present the brief in an effective manner For Case 2, we expect to see some evidence of the analytic methods you already employed in Case 1: Stakeholder analysis / Influence mapping Cost-benefit / Cost-effectiveness analysis In addition we would like to see evidence of an attempt at: Multi-criteria analysis A causal loop diagram
