I had been offered a paid gig (which I did not accept) based on audience response at an open mic night. During my adult literacy tutoring I arranged and ran a poetry workshop for a room of people who were mostly new to creative writing - the results were all very unique and positive. I also wrote three feature film screenplays, one was based on my tv pilot script which had been well received by TVNZ - they called me up to discuss it, and said it was quirky; they liked it, but ultimately decided it would be too expensive to make on their budget. And I wrote a short play which was rehearsed and performed with my help at Wellington Performing Arts Centre - this play became part of my first full length novel - which won a 10hr mentorship in 2012 while in development, awarded and paid for by the New Zealand Society of Authors."
"Through a one year Certificate at Aoraki Polytechnic, I gained experience making short movies on video - especially writing, directing, video editing and art department. As well as acting and producing for children's theatre, learning the technical equipment for radio and television - (radio) programming shows, writing ads, promotional chores, interviewing, performing as a dj, using radio station mixing equipment, (television) operating the sound booth, and operating one of the stationary cameras at the tv station."
I need the content rewritten as more of a sales pitch as what I can offer to clients. So I can insert it onto my website instead of alot of the text that is there currently.
