Hello there, I'm a recent Cornell graduate with a degree in English and an obsession with storytelling. I have been published. I'm not a big gamer, but I'm enamored with the idea of interactive storytelling and all the possibilities that are opened up by the visual world of a game. I do have a background in visual storytelling via a couple of short films, and I love playing with new mediums. Grandmother’s Recipes Scripts One day, Grandmother receives the King’s ordered to serve the dinner for his birthday. The time given is ONE WEEK(7 days).Grandmother discuss about this with her 7 fairy daughters and grandson. Grandmother plans for the conspiracy on which dish to serve. Then the player has a review of the Recipe. After that, let’s START the ingredient collecting trip *Then the game starts… Day one, the first daughter together with grandson go out to collect ingredients. (*Why just one fairy and the grandson and not all? Because the rest have to stay and protect their witch mother) Day two, the second daughter…. Etc. Ingredient collecting Phase -They can go back in anytime whether they have collected anything or not. -They can only collect up to 3 items in a day. (Because they only have a small pack) -Items can be gained by fighting, picking from the floor or trading (There will be puzzles for some items). The Fairies -Each of them has different characteristics, and abilities, likewise some are good at negotiating, some can do what the others can’t do (Some certain ingredients need some certain Fairies to gain) -They can use magic, attack or support type. Maps -A few kinds of fields, such as swamps, forest, mountain etc. Combat System -2D Tiles Turn-based Strategy The Recipe -Up to 15 dishes or more -Mostly made up of 7~10 ingredients -Displayed as a book which we can flip -Most of the pages are shown completely, some pages are stained or ruined, to hide some certain ingredients (Hidden Recipe) -The dish can be monsters, potions or just normal… -If one ingredient is missing, the finished dish can be known as “Imperfect xxxxx” whose effects will be also reduced. If it lacks two or more, it will be “Failure”, but can be also served to the King. The Final Combat -Conditional Plots (Plots depends on what kind of dishes you serve to the King) -If your dish is shown up as a monster, the King is shocked then lets fight happily… -Don’t forget the king will have someone test the food, so if your food is poisoned,…(Of course, there will be some dishes that is not useful…)

Writing for a video game has always seemed like an intriguing and rewarding experience, and I know that, if given the chance, I could do really well with it.
