I have an SMPP SMS gateway/server for receiving (inbound) and sending (outbound) Bulk SMS. I need a minor modification on the body of the outgoing SMS. Only one keyword will be replaced with another. My budget is $50 for this assignment that takes less than 10 minutes.
QUESTION: Do you know how to modify the body of an incoming SMS and change/replace an one or more items in it?
E.g: INCOMING MESSAGE TO MY SMPP SERVER: (Huawei is just for illustration purposes)
HUAWEI: Your security code is: 556778. Your code expires in 10 minutes. Please don’t reply.
OUTGOING MESSAGE FROM MY SERVER:
HUȦWȨI: Your security code is: 556778. Your code expires in 10 minutes. Pease don’t reply.
Please take note: Only HUAWEI has been replaced with HUȦWȨI
This is what I would like to effect on my SMPP server through which ever means you are most conversant with. The Idea is really to replace certain keywords in the body of the message with others.
Note also that there will be a number of different sources of SMS each with it's own key word that requires to be replaced.
This should be very easy for people working in bulk A2P sms business as well as those manning various SMS gateways.
Good Morning,
I think this problem will be easily achieved by using Regular Expressions and little bit of code for some edge cases.
I'm a Computer Engineering Student at University of Minho and I'll ingress my Masters this year.
I have a strong background with Regular expressions and use them on my daily basis to do large number of substitutions as I code and actually had a class only about Language Processing.
Note that this will be my first job as a freelancer and that I don't have experience with bulk A2P SMS or SMS gateways so I'll take my time and figure out what's the best approach.
If you have any question please don't hesitate asking.
Best regards,
