Each month, my Chinese staff produce two technical/market reports. I need someone who can do a two-level edit - correct the Chinglish into English, as well as the normal editing for grammar, punctuation and professional style. Each report takes about 4 hours of editing, so there's a total of 8 hours per month for this gig, but the catch is, you will have 24 hours to do the edit each time. For one report, you will have to do the edit on the 14th of each month, and for the other report, you will have to do the edit on the 24th of each month. No exceptions unless we approve. I can provide samples for short-listed candidates. Note, the reports also contain outlook/forecast statements and technical information which you do not need to worry about. There will be a final edit/check during which these technical terms and forecasts will be checked. If you have had experience with base metals, petrochemicals, aluminium, carbon, commodities markets or similar, that will be an advantage.

Having previously worked for the Central Energy Fund (Mossgas project), I definitely do have the experience in the petrochemical etc field which you advised would be an asset. I have previously also been a secretary to 2 Japanese Managers who had very little English and did all their reports and correspondence for them, so am familiar with working with people who have limited English. As I work from home and have email, Skype and a cellphone plus connection via ADSL I am well able to select which hours I can work and 24 hour turnaround should be ample time to do the reports. I am well versed in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, but am happy to learn any other package should this be your standard.
