memorEbook provides the easiest way to capture, share and preserve life's greatest moments in digital, interactive scrapbooks and baby books. We are looking for a Web developer to take over the development of our current Web site. The site was built in .NET and utilizes bootstrap for the front end. (bootstrap is not required if another method is preferred) The SQL database structure is already in place as our iOS app (launched in Jan 2013) and Android app launched earlier this year. In addition, the design of the Web site has been mocked up (as shown on our current site) so no design work is needed. Just implementation of design with a focus on responsive design. Hello, I read the concepts on your site and the ideas are great. I have to be honest with you though. The design (if the current site is the proposed design) is horrible. I don't mean to burst your bubble but for around $1000.00 you can have a fascinating design so why settle for mediocre when you have such a great idea? We would be very interested in working as your technology partners on this project from start to finish. However, we would definitely want an opportunity to redesign the front end, after all it is our reputation that is on the line as well. Hopefully you are not offended by my honesty and will give us some consideration. I noticed in your scope that you mentioned you wanted someone to "- Contribute ideas for making the application better and easier to use" Consider our critique our first contribution to the cause, lol. The person who built that website is likely a coder but definitely not a UX or UI designer. There is a huge difference and it is extremely apparent. Not only do we want to build applications that are great looking and scalable, we also want to build applications that are investable. This means they must look amazing, run amazing, be built for purpose and serve a greater purpose. Your concept serves a greater purpose and there is certainly room in the marketplace for it.
