The solution is for a local courier company, it will be give access to their employees (multiple locations) in order to:
Receive packages,
Generate and print tracking codes,
Transfer packages trough predefined routes,
Follow the delivery,
Track delays,
Some users could be external, 3rd party companies that will use the system to manage their zones.
Preliminary requirements:
Customers management(orders,billing, invoices...etc)
Courier portal client (order, view packages status, order pickup...)
Manage pricing according to volume/weight and zones
Customer pricing , price lists,
Manage package sending priority,
Provide order status of each shipment, keep status history
Bulk transfers (bags), group packages under one bag in order to transfer between hubs,
hub functions (reception,transit,delivery,return)
Import packages list from other 3rd party partners (other courier companies )
Reports and dashboards
in the future a mobile app will be developed for the delivery employees in order to confirm delivery and receive pickup orders from customers sites
