Existing Cold Fusion/MS SQL web application must have defects corrected (several errors are appearing - these may be bad data in database or code errors), and additional functionality added in order to make it useful and to replace a business process which uses Excel spreadsheets for reviewing and reporting on Telcom/Data/Cellular bills. This system was developed 10 years ago for this purpose but was abandoned due to staff changes and not used very much at all.
System as is today will do much of what is needed, but interface page changes are needed as well as database table/field changes are needed to support required reporting as well as data entry needed.
System scope document/spreadsheet attached has a draft scope. While this may be refined, it will not be expanded. I do reserve the right to add detail needed to scope items to ensure clarity. There are 3 tabs in the spreadsheet so please read them all before replying.
If needed, I can provide a login to existing system in order to view. The data is out of date and some data may not have been entered correctly, but you will be able to see how system works.
Existing system was constructed in a single project by a skilled developer who commented the code and used best practices for database and page design. The system was designed for a user to accounts for a customer (account number was on a bill from a carrier) in the form of a template (Bill) that consisted of BTNS (sub accounts) and then services (charges on bill). Each month, the charges from the monthly bill would be entered in the system and compared to the benchmarks established when the template was created. The system would flag on usage, rate, or other factors. The same user or another user would review the bill and approve/change the amount to be paid. The system would store the information and then output a page which could be printed and sent to customer.
This overall process will remain, but changes are needed and reporting enhancements are needed as described in attached spreadsheet.
The "[url removed, login to view]" file below has the .cfm files for the current system. Also attached are some spreadsheets used for the bill review process to give an idea of what will be needed for the output reporting. I have more of these and anticipate there to be between 4-8 different types of output report templates which may be needed.
I want any coders responding to this to give me an estimate of the number of hours required and their hourly rate.
Most of this project is not difficult, but he report builder portion will not be simple and I will expect chosen developer to assist by suggesting the best way to achieve the project goals.
