I would like to have a new FireFox extension created.
Requirements:
1) Every four days download an XML list to be stored persistently. The list includes records containing one keyword paired with one hyperlink url.
2) When a html page is loaded in the browser the extension should add a hyperlink to all occurrences of the keywords in the downloaded list so that they link to the associated hyperlink url. Case insensitive please.
3) Track the number of times each keyword hyperlink is placed on a page and post this data in XML to a web form. Posted at the same time the keyword list is downloaded.
Example XML list:
<keywords>
<keyword>
<name>german shepard</name>
<url>[login to view URL]</url>
</keyword>
....
I'm looking for special consideration made to code clarity and documentation.
Support for Google Chrome is also a big consideration.
Thanks.
