Grocery Shopping App

Start by creating a Cordova Project with these commands from the command prompt:

> cd path/to/your/final/assignment

> serve

> cordova create shopping [url removed, login to view] Shopping

(replace the abcd0001 with your own username)

Then use the GitHub application to turn the shopping/www folder into a Github Repo.

The www folder will contain all your CSS, JavaScript, images, and HTML.

You may use any JavaScript library you want for this project - jQuery, jQuery UI, jQuery Mobile, etc.

App Description

This is a single page grocery shopping app that uses localStorage to save items to a list.

When the app launches it should check in localStorage for a key called grocery-abcd0001. (replace the abcd0001 with your own username) If the key exists then create a listview which represents each item in the list. Each list item needs two functions: a) remove the item from the list; b) mark the item as done/picked up.

Inside the fixed footer of the app will be a form. The form has one button and one text field. The button says "Add" and lets the user add things to localStorage AND the listview. When the user clicks the Add button then the item is added to the localStorage as well as the list view, and it gets removed from the text field.

The header contains just the name of your Application.

Key Features

When putting the items into localStorage and removing them from localStorage you will need to use [url removed, login to view]( ) and [url removed, login to view]( ). The localStorage variable will be a stringified version of your Array of grocery items.

The form field in the footer gets cleared out when you save the value and add it to the listview.

The listview gets created from the localStorage array inside the $(document).ready( ) | [url removed, login to view]("DOMContentLoaded", function() ) function.

All the App functionality can be tested in the browser before testing in the Emulator and then on the device.

App should be installed on one of the Samsung Android devices from the cabinet in class.

Submission

To submit the project you need to submit three things:

a) A link to your GitHub Repo

b) A copy of your .apk file from the platforms/android/ant-build folder.

c) The name of the Android device onto which you have installed your app. To simplify the process for everyone I am asking that you only install on one of the Samsung Android phones.
