Injesting Data and Manipulating it via scenarios code...

Here's the project details...I'll try to explain this in detail, but the amount of content makes the project look more daunting than it really is. It isn't too difficult. You'll be required to do 3 things: 1) Create the database fields/structure needed to execute this. 2) Create the PHP or Coldfusion functionality, your choice. I'll consider coldfusion projects of higher $$ value. 3) Assemble a basic web based interface that users can use to execute these options. --- all of this will need to happen on your server and be presented as a functional solution to get credit. Here are the requirements, I'll break these down in phases so they're less confusing: Phase 1: I'm attempting to build a solution that ingests data from a spreadsheet via PHP and maps it to predefined columns. So for instance, if I had a spreadsheet with headers that were Name, Phone Number, Address...and the Database fields were called Custom1, Custom2 and Custom3....I need an interface where the website user can designate from a drop down that the Name field should be mapped to Custom2, Phone Number to Custom3, and Address to Custom1 as examples. The second part of this is that the mappings they designate need to be savable in a "template" so they can select their template and reuse those mappings when they come back and upload another spreadsheet. The function needs to auto search and map these fields based on past use. So for instance, if the example user from above came and uploaded another spreadsheet with headers Business, Phone Number and Business Type, it would automatically align the drop down for Phone Number to Custom3 because of a scenario already in place. Once these mappings are done, the database needs to store the data against those mapping points so we can manipulate it in phase 2. So in conclusion/much shortened version: Phase 1 is import spreadsheet and allow the headers to be mapped to our database field names before storing the data in the database. Phase 2: We need to map the incoming data. Any data that doesn't have a mapping in the database will need to show up on a page that allows it to be classified and stored with the mapping. These mappings will need to be grouped by a SKU datapoint or Name Datapoint. For instance, SKU 12345 isn't classified...the user can map on this page SKU 12345 to a desktop computer category, for instance. These categories will need to be designated/edited on a page as well (so users can add new categories/edit category name/etc). Phase 3: Once the data is in the database and is mapped, we need to be able to provide summary scenarios for the users based on manipulation of that data. Scenario 1 is called a monthly breakdown, where it shows a summarized monthly cost and quantity of units based on criteria set by the user. So for instance: The user may set a criteria of "12 month output, 600 items in month 6", and the scenario would show a summarization of the databased ingested data with all of the line items split out over 12 months and 600 of those items being in the 6 month. This is an example. The second scenario is the detailed breakdown, where it shows all of the line items in that particular month with the ability to be grouped. So in summary, ultimately I'm asking for the following functions/pages: - spreadsheet import (phase 1) - column name alignment/mapping function (phase 1) - data mapping to category (phase 2) - category add/edit (phase 2) - summary scenario (phase 3) - scenario monthly detail (phase 3) So as you can see, lots of detail above...but only 6 real functions to execute, some of these are very basic.
