Upgrade and modify an existing fiverrscript clone website

*Please note- I'm reposting this job. The job has changed a bit after some internal discussion. The main change is that we're looking to more closely align the site with the out-of-box script for ease of use down the road. We will still need some of the modifications to stay intact when upgrading to the newest version of the script, however, we've decided to keep this to a minimum as it will make this job much easier and will make our lives easier once the job is complete!

As these things have changed, we feel it will be easier to work with this job as an hourly job rather than a fixed project - we're unsure how long this job will take. It could be a very quick job or it could take much longer... Thanks for looking!

OK, the job:

We've got a site already running on the fiverrscript clone. The site has been modified quite a bit already, but it's running a quite older version of the script. We need to upgrade to the latest version of fiverrscript and are looking to make the site more closely aligned with the out-of-box script for ease of use down the road.

There are, however, some features of the site that we'll need to keep different from the script. We also need to keep the existing design of the site intact - background, logo, a few images in sidebar - things like that.

Additionally, we will need to add some new things to the site - by and large, these are quite small modifications. Things like adding an opt-in button to registration process for new users, installing a blank Wordpress blog onto root and placing link to it in footer.

This will need to be a project where you and I are communicating throughout as once the new version is in place, there will probably be plenty of minor design/functionality things we're going to want tweaked.

We have a test site/database already set up, so hopefully you can do the work there and transfer over when complete to the existing site/database.

Ideally we are going to find someone that we can work with for a long time to come! I've put this job as hourly simply because it could be a very quick 5 hour job or a 20 hour job and as an hourly freelancer, it will be easier for us to work together in the future if everything works out well.
