I have a detailed document that describes exactly what is expected. I also have a professionally crafted design of the homepage and inner pages already in HTML. I will provide these two documents to the finalist to review and agree before any work is started. =================================================== I must see samples of your work before you will be considered so be sure to state them in your responses. Don't list anything you didn't do yourself. ==================================================== General Description Need a web-based community events calendar. Unregistered users will be able to select a country/state/city and view the events for the city, to know what activities are going on, the venue and time for the event. Registered users will be able to do the same, but will also be able to post their own events. Registered users can also sign up to belong to any of the ‘special interest' mailing lists at the site. Members of the mailing lists will be emailed qualifying new events registered at the site. Registered users will have the option of selecting which mailing lists their events should be mailed [login to view URL] the time of posting the event. There will be a fee for posting an event, and the program should collect the fee before allowing a member to register an event. ‘Featured Events' will cost more to post than regular events. Featured events will also show in Bold. Fees may be collected with Paypal or two other payment gateways. Most events will be free but some events may have ticket prices. This program should allow members to send payment to other members (the poster of the event) via Paypal only. At member registration time, members will have option to register for Paypal Programing Requirements Although it is designed for all countries There will be specific versions for US and the United Kingdom. It should be possible to have some default settings for US and for UK versions. For all other countries, it will suffice to make the country/state fields be context sensitive. For example, if the country selected is US, the US states should be in the ‘state' field. However, if the country of Canada is selected, the state field should list the Canadian provinces. (This is desired but not required). It should provide a means of verifying email adresses. This should be done at registration time. Initially, when a member tries to register, they will only fill out minimal account information including email address. Our program will send an autoanswer email to the provided email address. The email will include a URL to the detail registration information. At registration time, they should be given a chance to enroll in a ‘special interest' mailing list. Everyone is also placed in the ‘General' email list automatically. Should have a routine for resetting forgotten passwords automatically. Needs to be a Content Management System so administrator can change look and feel of program. Programming Environment It will be template driven PHP with MYSQL backend A Microsoft dotNET implementation will also be acceptable if you believe you can achieve better results from that platform. You should program to the provided design, and any additions should conform to the style sheet provided. Will need to provide link for XML output from a streaming audio program. (I will provide XML link) User Types: All users including Guest users (with no registration info) can view and search calendar by Location Date Activity Type Keyword search Registered Users can also Request events to be automatically emailed to them, based on criteria specified. Submit and edit their own events after they have paid and have enough balance in their account. Administrator can Approve, remove or edit submitted events and changes to be posted to site Will perform normal configuration functions Will perform all financial transactions Have access to all user information Reset password Programmer's Responsibilities: Will develop and install and test on your site Will give us a chance to review and make suggestions After we are agreed on functionality, programmer will install on our site Programmer will provide a copy we can download and modify Programmer will provide a means to back up both the database and the program itself Written user instructions on how to operate the site Written instructions on how to modify pages Will stay in touch with daily updates Will answer questions within 24 hours or less Will complete project within promised timeframe or face penalties Will provide product support free for 60days Webmaster will have full ownership and copyright of the program Webmaster Responsibilities: We will respond to your questions within 24 hours or less Will post fee in escrow Webmaster will have the right to have code modified and used in any way they chose to. Pay programmer promptly 50% of fee due when code is functionally complete and ready on your site Pay remaining 50% after code is installed on our site and is fully functional..No Exceptions. I haven't listed the budget range, but the budget is VERY IMPORTANT in my selection criteria. I expect this to be very reasonable, since it is not a difficult implementation.
