Add features to Booked/PhpScheduleIT

"Booked"previously called PhpScheduleIT is an open source room reservation system. The latest version, 2.5.8 does most of what I am looking for, but I need a couple of additions which I will offer back to the Booked project to extend it to enable Invoices to be produced from Bookings (Reservations). 1. extract the reservation data as a csv file to create invoices, and allow the csv file to be uploaded to the PC - see details below 2. add an Organizations table that links to the User table (ideally using an existing field - e.g. Organization) or some other way that wouldn't corrupt the existing application including the ability to import Organisations/Customers from another application. Will also need Organization maintenance - but see comments on 3 below as well. 3. create an invoice based on a default template to a PDF OR provide an Excel Template with the connection to the remote MySQL database that can create the invoices in Excel. I'm not sure how this would work, especially the selection of the data. DETAILS 1. Extract a reservation based file to use to create invoices; Output FIELDS: customer, resource,description, quantity,unit-cost, total; customer - organisation from user on the reservation, resource name - from reservation table (probably via a lookup to resource table) description - concatenation of: reservation start date and time + reservation title - e.g. "10/01/2015 10:30 Disability group meeting" quantity - meeting duration in hours and fractions of an hour - e.g. 1hr30 = 1.50 price - if price in price custom field on reservation in not zero then use that, use the otherwise hourly rental (custom field on resource) How it should work: records are to be extracted to the csv for a specific organisation, or all organisations, within a date range, sorted by date/time within organization 2. The organizations table should include: Organization_name Organization_address1 Organization_address2 Organization_address3 Organization_postcode Organization_email Organization_phone1 Organization_phone2 Contact_name Contact_address_1 Contact_address_2 Contact_address_3 Contact_postcode Contact_email Contact_phone1 Contact_phone2 This will need a basic data maintenance function which should look and feel the same as the other reference data options such as Resource and User. It should be added to that menu option. 3. Invoice - there are a couple of options here. 3.1 The invoice details that need to created must be editable if the invoice is produced as a PDF from Booked and also make sure of a user configured template. This would be of use to other but eventually I hope to use the extract file and import it to an invoicing application called Sliq Tools. 3.2 There are a couple of other options including generating Invoices into an opensource ERP application such as WebERP. In that case there would also be a small piece of work to do, to take the data and create a link that would use the existing WebERP API to post the data into the Sales Ledger and generate the invoices via the WebERP System. see: [login to view URL] For this to work, I would probably also do something different for Organisation such as use a customer table in the ERP System instead and link the two. 3.3 The 3rd option is to use Excel directly against the new data via a database connection to the remote MySQL database AND to make sure that the templates and data selection work. In theory this might be simpler to develop, but I would need to be sure it could work in a variety of environments including Windows XP, Window 7, Office 2010 and Office 2007 and with 64Bit and 32 bit environments!
