Dear coders,
This is a simple project and many of you may have done this a million times already in the past. I currently have a bunch of computers with windows 98 pre-installed. Right now, I have to configure every single machine the same way (adding/removing programs and settings), and as you can imagine -- it is *very* time consuming.
I would like to configure 1 pc (and 1 hard drive), and then be able to duplicate it on all the other pc's or their hard drives. Whatever the solution you come up is, whether it uses drive images or xcopy, it *must* work.
So here is the project: I need you to give me a simple guide on how to do this the most effeciently and quickly.
The machines I have are equipped with a 4 gig hard drive each, which is more then enough for what I need them to do, and it is safe to assume that every machine I have has the same config and hard drive size (though, if you have a more general solution that will work with any machine -- that would be best).
Good luck and hope to hear from you soon!
Thank you,
David
