Android app that sends phone's GPS-coordinates to server

What I would need is a very basic Android app that does this: * When the app is launched check that the GPS is turned on. If not, inform the user to turn it on. * When launched the app stays in the background and collects the users location every 2 minutes (or every 5 minutes if there is any problems with battery drain with to frequent location updates??) * The collected location data should be sent form the phone to a server with the same interval. The server and the server side backend receiving the data I will set up myself as a PHP-script so the data should be sent from the phone in PHP form. Like for example: $url = '[login to view URL]'; $fields = array( 'location' => urlencode($_POST['location']), 'deviceID' => urlencode($_POST['deviceID']), ); The deviceID I would like to be the user's phone number if it is possible to extract that. * The graphics in the app does not matter. As basic as possible. The only thing I need is for a specific splash screen image to show when the app i started.
