Launching new website that will be content rich. We have plenty of great content but need help with design and layout for the WordPress blog.

We have a couple examples of sites we like, but if you have a preferred WP theme you would recommend, that is fine too.

Theme we found that we like: [login to view URL]

Example news sites we like and some we don't:

[login to view URL] - menu is tight and high on the page, ad space directly below with great visibility. Simplistic home page. Mainly articles listed with ad space mixed in on side bar with a spot for a survey and opt-in.

[login to view URL] - way too busy and way too much content on the home page. you can get lost with all that they throw at you on the home page.

[login to view URL] - a lot of scrolling but it is clean and easy to read unlike the huffington post.

[login to view URL] - like the ad style on the right hand side.
