I have a bidding website, similar to freelancer.com, made from enginethemes, and wanted a new feature added.
My website is a freelance type website where people can post jobs and wait for freelancers to bid, similar to People Per Hour, I would like a search bar on the homepage, where a user can type what skill they are looking for (The list is already created in the database) and then click the "post job" button. The post job is already on my homepage and I would just like the search bar above it. Currently, when you click the "post a job" button you are diverted to the "signup/Login" Page if you are not signed in, but if you are signed in you go to the page where you inpu t the details of the job you want to post.
When the search field is added to the homepage, I would like the user to be able to enter the skill they need, then click "post a job" and then if they are logged in, they will go to the "post a job" page and whatever they had entered in the search field on the homepage should autopopulate the "Skills" field on the "post a job page" and they can then fill in the rest of the details. If they are not registered or signed in, when they click the "post a job" button on the homepage (after filling in the skills field), they will be directed to signup or sign in, and then they will be diverted to the "post a job" page and this will also now have the "Skills" field autopopulated with the skills they filled in on the homepage.
There is also a second button which is called "Apply as freelancer" if you are not signed in, this takes you to the "freelancer" account signup page. If the skills have been filled in on homepage before you click this button, I would like the Skills field to be autopopulated on the registration page when diverted. Also, when the freelancer is signed in, the button changes to "Search Jobs" so if the freelancer types in the skills in the Search field on homepage, and then clicks "Find Projects" they will be diverted to the "Search for jobs" page where there is a "Skills" filter/field. I would like this to be populated with the Skills entered on the homepage search field. the final Button on the homepage is, the Search Freelancer button, this is the second button on the homepage if the employer is logged in. In this case, if the skills are entered into this search field, and then the "Search freelancers" button is clicked, the user will be diverted to the page where they can search for freelancers which have already been registered. On this page, I would like the "Skills" Filter to already be populated with the skills entered in the search field on homepage.
