I have a large Excel file that collects data from users by having them fill in drop-downs, click radio buttons, fill in a few dozen boxes, etc. The spreadsheet collects the data into a text file, which is then uploaded, by a macro, to my web site where it is automatically processed. I would like suggestions on the best way to convert this to a web based application which will have the same functionality, ie: collect the data a send it to a different web location. Please suggest how you would proceed and what rate you would expect for hourly work.

I recomend you to use MySql to manage your data and use php to creat the web app. With php you can interact with you database and insert it into your html files, It is also professional to use css stylesheets to have a nice layout. I can do this for you. I have my own website and I have to deal with databases all the time.

I would suggest a flat and not hourly rate for this job. This is something that php can handle using a regular web form. It can then be pumped into a mysql database, but I prefer to use sqlite because there is less setup involved. Two or three days should be enough.
