Hello. There are separated sub-tasks indeed in you project. 1) php 56 => php 7. What a frameworks are using at your site? Some frameworks are impossible to use in php 7. Some frameworks already have updates. Need to learn source code. Also I recommend at first to create some copy of site and to work with a copy to prevent situation site is not usable. After all developing finished it will be possible to deploy them back to server 2) GTMetrix improvement. Again need to understand what to optimize at first.
