Raspberry Pi 3 software to monitor and log a cars engine hours. Need to log an input for 6-24V and count how long it has been running stored in the format hrs:min. xxxxx:xx. 4 digit Hr: 2 digit minute. Engine Hours will remain stored and be cumulative continuing on from the last reading each time, only can be reset to 0 or changed via login. Also recording the date and time stamp of the engine start and stop times of the engine also. Needs to store to allow access for automatic synchronizing/uploading to a main 2008 MSSQL server whenever unit is associated to site wifi network. Has to have a login to setup vehicle ID, set or reset current hour reading. Also setup the Wifi association details and set current time (either manual set or by entering NTC details). Has to upload the Vehicle ID and current engine hours with time stamp as priority. Upload the vehicle start and stop times secondary. Retain start/stop records for at least 30 days before over writing. Also consider but not needed at moment a display board option board for the Raspberry Pi 3 to show current engine hours.

I currently have a Raspberry Pi 3 in my possession. I have done several projects with it, and I am very familiar with how it works. Before agreeing to contact, I would need a few things cleared up. For example: What exactly must be done? Do you have any preferences as to what technologies are used? Do you have any specific type of vehicle this must apply to? Do you expect this to just be for the software, or do you also need the hardware device also created?
