This project requires the programming and integration of two separate main components into a complete solution that will allow LORA radio communications of remote telemetry status to a main unit equipped with a 16 channel relay board. User case: Transmitter unit #1 sense an event, sends message by radio to a main unit that triggers relay channels (OPEN/CLOSE). The two main components are : Radio and MP: Adafruit Feather 32u4 RFM95 LoRa Radio - 900MHz (radio and microprocessor) battery operated field unit (x16 + 1 on the main unit). Relay board: Sansmart 16channel 5V relay for AMP or any other similar one Detailed sketches are available on high level design. The emphasis is on simplicity, reliability of the system code and low power battery management (low power librairies for LORA radio transmissions). The remote transmitters are battery powered. The main unit with the Relay board is DC powered. Optional (nice to have) : Integration of a WiFi gateway to allow MQTT message transmission to Freeboard or equivalent dashboard type application of sensor status and battery levels Sample test : 1. Transmitter #1 (n) Door Sensor detects an event (OPEN), radio wakes up from deep sleep, TX message to main unit, goes back to deep sleep mode. 2. Main Unit LORA RX the message, activates Relay #1 (n) to OPEN. 3. Repeat for all 16 transmitters. 4. Normal state id CLOSED on all channels (LOW CURRENT DRAW) Each transmitter is mapped to its designated relay. We would appreciate your proposal for this project. Dear Pierre, Your project is very exciting - there is no good, cheap and reliable wireless sensors for a long distance on the market yet. The task is clear and feasible for given time constraints. The Adafruit Feather is a very good solution for the case. As the distance could be increased up to 20 km, solution becomes outstanding! As Wi-Fi module gives the system outstanding flexibility - it can interract with user (ex. access code to open/close all doors in emergency) - it should be in a basic system. I propose to use ESP8266 Wi-Fi module as it is well spread, cheap and proved itself to be a highly reliable in everyday use. I am professional programming engineer of AMX, Crestron, KNX, Arduino, Raspberry pi automation systems. I have more than 5 years experience in system construction. Currently I am an entrepreneur and develop wholecycle projects, from the idea to working system. You may wonder, why the price for my realization is so low. I am newbie on freelancer.com and I need to rise my reputation promptly. I propose two core ways to make this project: 1. (Best) To make sure the job is done perfect, I need the system to be tested in my office. In this case we separate job for two parts: preprogramming (12d max) + testing when I recieve all equipment (8 days) 2. (Good) Remote testing at your office.
