MIDI to Control Voltage

I'm an experienced developer with a keen interest in the Raspberry Pi. I've worked on many Pi related projects using various input/output boards. Sounds like an interesting project. It looks like there are a couple of Python libraries that I could use to read the MIDI file. I've previously used the MCP4802 DAC to output voltages.
