Translate an 8,500 word children' story from French into British English

I am looking for a skillful translator who could translate a children's story (8,500 words) from French into British English. I am the author of the story in question (I'm a French writer - you can check out my website at [login to view URL]) I am myself bilingual and work as a freelance translator. As a French native, I have no problem translating from English to French. In the case of this particular project, I want the translation to sound really authentic, and hiring a native speaker seems a better idea than translating the text myself. Once translated, my book will be made available both on the British and the American markets. For your offer to be considered, you will need to be well read in children's literature and familiar with the works of authors such as D.J. MacHale and Chris Archer for instance. You should also have an inclination for suspense, Science-Fiction and supernatural stories (books and movies), as this is precisely what my series of stories is about. Your level of French should range from good to excellent, and your English language skills (syntax, spelling and vocabulary) should be second to none. The story is really gripping in French, and should remain so in English. The story is aimed at 10-14 year old readers, so although it's a children' s story, the general style and tone of the translation shouldn't be childish. Y ou will also need to maintain communication with me on a very regular basis, accept suggestions of revision and understand that the level of expectation will be pretty high :-) If you struggle with any particular French idiom during your translation, no problem: you'll be able to ask me as much as you want and I'll be more than happy to clarify or explain.
