We're building an online product designed to bring people together around a particular version of golf. This is not, at all, a romantic dating service but as it is designed to connect game hosts with relevant golfers much of the underlying structure and functionality is similar. The core of the project is the online website and matchmaking service, however we also plan to create iOS/Android apps for the product. You don't need to be able to help us with both web development and app development to apply, but being able to do both is a bonus. Full Project Brief Our product helps players find games and game hosts find players for a version of golf that often includes betting. This is similar to a romantic dating service in the functionality needed and overall structure, but focused on a different type of match making. Using the romantic dating service example, a man is matched with a woman based on criteria that he's looking for matching her description. With our service, a player is matched to a host based on criteria the player is looking for matching the hosts description of his game. A quick overview of components needed: * Profile and game profile creation - distinct for players and hosts * Text fields * Range fields * Location * Scheduling * Match results - distinct for players and hosts * Search - distinct for players and hosts * Matching algorithm * Search algorithm (similar to match algorithm) * User database * Online billing * Different membership levels and types * Content sections, text, image, video - content will be provided * Built in a way that accessible and flexible as much as possible We have a great deal more in terms of instructions, diagrams, data architecture, etc. that we will share as appropriate. We believe the SkaDate ([login to view URL]) platform which is itself built on Oxwall offers the closest out of the box solution to what we need, however our product will require heavy customization from the default to achieve our goals. SkaDate offers customize-able website and iOS/Android apps with their complete solution which encompasses the foundation of our product as well as the majority of the components described above. About You We're looking for a skilled developer or small team (lead and assistant(s)) with experience working with SkaDate or otherwise building dating/matchmaking web products. You should be excellent at following written and verbal instructions as well as providing feedback and push back if you believe there is a better way of doing things. We are happy to work within your project management system or can create that for this project on our end. You should have a clear, high level plan for how you would go about building our product as described with SkaDate or another platform. If you need more detail to get there, we're happy to answer questions. This only needs to be VERY general, but we want to be sure to can deliver all required components in a professional and flexible package. We have specific skills in mind that we think you need listed below, however it is really about being able to fulfill the above criteria. The ideal candidate will be able to work within the SkaDate (or similar system) to deliver a responsive web product and mobile apps, however we will also consider well qualified candidates for the web product and apps separately.
