Moodle Upgrade Project In this project, I successfully upgraded a client’s Moodle LMS from version 4.0 all the way to 5.0.2, ensuring compatibility, data integrity, and plugin stability throughout the process. Because Moodle does not support direct upgrades between distant versions, I followed a carefully staged upgrade path: 4.0 → 4.1.1 4.1.1 → 4.1.2 4.1.2 → 4.4.0 4.4.0 → 5.0.2 Each step involved: Running database schema upgrades and verifying logs. Updating and testing plugins to match the new version. Validating performance, data accuracy, and user functionality. Ensuring smooth transitions between versions without downtime. The end result was a fully upgraded Moodle 5.0.2 instance, stable and ready for production, with all core features and extensions functioning as expected.

The connection was established through custom PHP hooks that synchronize data between the unicenta database and the WordPress WooCommerce database. Database Connectivity: Direct link created between unicenta’s MySQL DB and WordPress DB. Custom Hooks: Implemented hooks to handle product sync, stock updates, and order flow. Real-time Updates: Ensured seamless data flow from POS to the online store. Scalable Integration: Designed for future expansion with additional modules or sync rules. This integration allowed real-time product and order management, making the business workflow smooth between the physical POS and the WooCommerce online store.
