I believe I am an intuitive prospect for any employer with a focus on quality and professionalism. I am an independent researcher and aspiring documentary film-maker, and I feel this would be an ideal platform for me to re-affirm my skills at publishable standards, apart from supplementing the funding for my research-work.
Though it has been a while since I have operated professionally, I am keen on making an impact in an area which is closest to me, that is, written communication and content creation. I am confident of my ability to offer impeccable services with respect to generation and presentation of written material in the English language. My major motivation at this point is exercising my capabilities and applying my skills on a regular basis. Appreciation would just be the clincher.
I moved to Australia in 2007 to pursue my Masters in Mass Communications, and brought back an enriching experience and a rare perspective, which transformed me as a thinking entity. I got initiated to a worldview seldom found in the modern mainstream, least in the media scenario in the subcontinent, or in our general urban zeitgeist. I have been back in India for almost a year now, during which time, I have continued my independent research-work, the latest of which revolves around historically entrenched modern geo-politics. Before I joined my course in Perth, I was a part of the Indian IT industry for the best part of the preceding 4 years. I worked for IBM and HCL Technologies during this period, which was also my only operational experience in a corporate scenario. This, I expect, will not play a part in the assessment of my present interests.
Although I haven't yet written in a setup wherein I have been remunerated for it, I did write quite prolifically during my educational/research period. I have acquired an acute understanding of the various referencing styles and formats, and their appropriate usage. I am quite proficient in meeting deadlines, as it was critical to the successful completion of my masters degree. Also, I maintain a diligent and watertight policy against plagiarism while writing any text.
