Here’s a balanced, **mid-level (neutral–mixed) review** in clear, professional English—factual, fair, and not overly harsh: --- We worked with this freelancer on two projects. The first, larger project was completed successfully and can be rated very positively. The work was delivered quickly, reliably, and met our expectations in terms of quality and communication. The second project involved the correct output of an XML export and proved to be more challenging. There were ongoing issues, likely related to localization differences (Germany) and the way Excel 365 handles certain settings. While the freelancer invested significant effort and ran more than 20 tests, the problem could not be resolved satisfactorily during the project phase. We appreciate the effort and commitment shown; however, communication became increasingly tense over time. Some comments were perceived as unnecessarily sharp, particularly remarks suggesting a substantial budget increase due to the complexity and communication effort involved. In the end, we were able to resolve the issue ourselves by posting the solution in a German Excel forum, where it turned out to be relatively straightforward. It remains unclear whether the freelancer would have arrived at the same solution. Overall, our experience was mixed: strong performance on the first project, but difficulties in problem-solving and communication on the second.
