Opis Konkursu
Hello freelancers!
I'm starting a private tutoring business. It's name is Specialty Tutor, LLC. Eventually, I will be designing an interactive website, whose URL and professional email I've reserved via Go Daddy. Right now, I need to start with a logo -- a logo that will go on a business card, the website, and professional correspondence. I've looked at some graphic representations under the category "education" online, and am terribly unimpressed with what I see. Would it be possible to start by doing something interesting with the letters "S" and "T," with perhaps an accompanying abstract geometric design? I need this to be very classy and understated, as I aspire to attract a sophisticated clientele. Or rather, I aspire to attract the sophisticated parents of my clientele, as they will be the ones who are paying for the service. My specialties include all standardized test prep, particularly the SAT and ACT. I have plenty of experience and a stellar academic pedigree, including a Ph.D.
All the representational graphics under the heading "education" that I've found online appear amateurish and juvenile to me. This is a high-end, competitive business, so I need some very classy and understated. I was thinking to perhaps start with some graphic relatioship between the letters "S" and "T" (for Specialty Tutoring), with perhaps an accompanying abstract geometric design to either surround it or underscore it or set it off in some way.
Intended audience: is a discerning group of parents willing to pay for private tutoring to help get their kid into college.

“I can't begin to adequately describe what a positive experience this turned out to be with "ilef Design." I'm located in New York, and the freelancer who produced such brilliant work for me is in Algeria. He might as well have been right here, though, so thorough was his vetting of my requirements, and so deeply collaborative was his style of work. I came to Freelancer to begin with because even though I thought my project would be relatively easy and straightforward -- the design of a logo for a business card -- I suspected, never having engaged in this form of work before, that I had something to learn. As it turned out, the process was highly educational for me, and vastly more complicated than I'd envisioned. From the very start, I received 95 different bids on a "contest" for a guaranteed $175 prize. "ilef Design" immediately stood out as having produced the most visually arresting, brilliant design. In comparison, the vast majority of the others were slap-dash, pedestrian, or simply weird. But the process didn't end there. "ilef Design" took the time and effort to educate me along the lines of what essential components and characteristics a standout business card should contain, including what turned out to be the inclusion of a bevy of social media sites which serve to drive business. Again, I was clueless beforehand, yet now feel as though I've gone through a seminar on proper business card design and function! I recommend this Freelancer unreservedly. ”
