Opis Konkursu

We are looking to refresh our existing product label and would like a designer to provide a flexible template made in Adobe InDesign or Illustrator so that we can quickly data merge and update images for our numerous, similar product variants.

Whilst we will provide access to our existing label, please use this only as one example of how to display the information to customers. We want something new and not a rehash of our existing design.

Design references will be provided as well as an existing label and wireframe layout for you to work from. This file should be integrated with a .csv file for data merging our product titles, subtitles, descriptions etc.

This label is printed media in CYMK, 98mm wide 283mm tall.

If your design is chosen we also have five additional projects for which you will be first choice and use the same style guide that you have devised in this competition. These will be separate projects and will be paid for on-top of the competition reward.

These projects include:
- Smaller label
- Label variation for two-sided packaging (instead of three sided - see brief)
- Large label
- A4 Instruction manual (booklet)
- A5 Instruction manual (single page)

Hello everyone. A couple of bits of general feedback for you all to clarify a few points of our brief. Thanks for all the submissions to far - they've been great!

1. Please pay close attention to the fact that we have a large number of different labels that will need to be quickly generated from the file you provide. You should make sure that your template is flexible enough to fit images and text that may change slightly.

2. We would again like to draw attention to some of the elements present on the one example we gave - coffee packets - of making data on the type, size, SKU etc. of the tiles/product displayable in tables or boxes - not always in blocks of text/paragraphs. Many of you have done a great job of this already, and we'd love to see more of it.

3. Finally - and in reference to the above - please feel free to drop the 'Description' column in the example .csv if it helps you to make the label look less crowded, and to add more space for the aforementioned tables/boxes.

A note to all: We are seeing a lot of people being far too heavily influenced by our existing label design. We would like to stress that it's more important to try and draw ideas from the 'Design references' section.

Some specific examples we are looking for: the use of thick borders, block colours, bold and vintage fonts. However, again we'd like to consider something drastically new from what we have right now.
