Hi there, this is my design of a 3D printed tool for a fat cable (Maximun 16). The design is simple and work very well. You won’t need extra elements like springs.

I haven't printed it yet, I was waiting your opinion. But I made it according to the dimension that you shared, so it works for a fat cable. Could you tell me what mechanical elements can you use?
