I run a family owned collision repair business called Abbeville Body Works that has been well established for 30 years now. I am going to be put on some repair networks soon and need a better logo. When customers see my logo, I want them to feel like they are going with a well-established business. I think having the words "certified collision center" somewhere will help with that, but not as the main text. Our S-Corp name is North Main America. I don't have a logo for North Main America, so anything minimalist and simple will work for that (no "corporate swoosh" logos please) I sort of like the BMW collision repair logo. It's just the circular iconic BMW logo with "Certified Collision Repair Center" beside it. That could work somewhere underneath the main "Abbeville Body Works" logo. I am open to guidance and what you think would look good. The impression I want to give is the most important, and that is that I want customers to see the logo and feel like they're sending their car to the real professionals. I have seen some logos that incorporate paint guns, I do not want that. I have also seen some that outline a car. That might be ok, but if that's the approach, I don't want it to look gaudy, keep it classy. Again, I am open to suggestion. I know my customers are going to be looking at a lot of generic looking logos from competing shops in the area. Uniqueness is very important, only second to imparting professionalism and establishment. I realize appealing to both may be challenging. I am also aware that putting two business names inside of one logo while keeping it simple might be difficult, or even impossible. Feel free to experiment with deigns that favor a more "North Main America Inc." corporate feel vs "Abbeville Body Works" locally owned since 1946 feel. It's hard for me to visualize what the logo will look like, I'll leave that a bit open-ended for you. Again, the two things I want are for the potential customers to notice my logo first, and when they see it to think "These guys are the real professionals, I want to send my car there"

Based on some of the entries I've seen, I'll summarize some of what I don't want

Do not copy BMW. I don't want my logo to look like BMW. If you google "BMW collision repair center" you'll see how they have their logo on one side, and then "certified collision repair center" next to it. I like the concept, but more so, I like the impression it gives. Again, don't make a logo that just looks like BMW, that's a 1 star vote

No corporate swooshes or generic logos. I have looked up "body shop logos" on google images, I've seen quite a few. I've also looked up simple corporate logos and frankly a lot of the submissions I've gotten look like they were just copied from google images.

Don't do a monogram.
