I am looking to boot the Google Nexus 7 tablet solely from USB power. If USB power is turned off tablet to shutdown, and boot up again only when USB power is on. Prefer the battery to be still connect, but don't mind disconnecting it if you have a solution that works well. ASUS Nexus 7 is unlocked and running a rooted Android 4.2. Nexus 7 has a reset push button next to the power and volume rocker, but it doesn't have physical button on exterior to depress the button on the circuit. Looking for an experience embedded software. Any solution that can be used to unfreeze a hard locked Android device via USB only is welcome.
Nexus 7 is connected to Arduino Mega ADK via usb, which is also the power source.
Nexus 7 does not boot up without battery, for some reason. It may not be enough power from USB to boot Nexus 7 without battery.
