CMS Flash SQL site bug fixes and enhancements

A vendor has developed for us a CMS website including an SQL database and extensive flash. The process to get our website created did not go extremely well and we are left with a site that has some bugs and we have a list of desired upgrades. Even with that, we are already in Beta and anxious to launch.

You are bidding on fixing the bugs listed below and completing the upgrades desired. We’re not experts, but it seems like a week to ten day’s work to get these things done. If the chosen worker does a good job, on time and on budget, there is more work to follow as we already have sketched out Phase II and will need ongoing support and maintenance.

You need to be able to give our project the attention it deserves. Missed deadlines will not be tolerated. You must be fluent in English and have strong communication skills. This is a complicated website dealing with a topic that is not familiar to most people. As such listening skills are very important.

Bugs to be corrected:

There are parts of the site that require the compatibility mode button to be checked in IE9. This should be fixed.

Change © to 2012 on all pages.

Populate static pages with text provided by us (five or six pages total).

The pricing grid was originally written for per item sales and discounts for volume. We have revised our pricing model to a subscription based plan with discounts for duration. The pricing grid needs to be reworked to reflect this change.

When a user logs on, we want the page they land on to be a specific designated page every tenth time.

We have “click to add to my favorites” functionality that is not working properly. Also, we want the page to display “favorite” items first.

We currently host our regular site on WestHost. We set up the CMS site that you will be working on with Host Gator. We would like you to review tech specs at WestHost to see if this new app couldn’t be hosted there, rather than at HostGator. Once all this is decided and before we launch, we will need your help in doing some testing on credit card processing. We have already arranged the cc processing, etc. We have just never tested it.

We have a title page that populates with data from the database. We need to modify the data it currently presents to be something different.

Add text to some pages. This text will link to interactive pages already completed and working.

One of the items in our database causes flash player to crash and can lock up a browser. This needs to be corrected. Originally this item was reporting an SQL database error, but in correcting this we got the flash error instead.

Change landing page when clicking on Home

We have some mouse over functionality on some pages that we would like added to other pages as well.

Remove static words from a series of pages.

Modify process and ending of incident debrief (we can explain this later)

Modify process for incident uploading (we can explain this later)

We have the ability for users to take notes and have these notes saved. We need to have you fix the way in which that data is retrieved and printed by the user.

We have unconfirmed reports that data saved by one user may be visible by another.

Add a pop-up warning before deleting part of the file in admin.

For large volume users, add the ability to upload registration data via CSV or similar upload.

Encrypt user passwords in admin view and repair forgot password functionality.

Add functionality to send reminder emails.

We have group user and group leader functionality included in the site. It is working about 90%, it just needs some fine tuning. Please see the attached Word Doc for details or email us for more info.
