Android app to call php running on server to pull data

This should be very simple for experienced android programmer. I need a simple application that calls a PHP scripts where the PHP scripts returns the data from database via JSON The concept and details comes from the following related links. However the java code seems to have an issue. I am attaching the project file as a .zip file for you to fix.
