Lead the Strategic Sourcing tasks for a new e-commerce startup under Consumer Electronics vertical, as a freelancer on a regular basis.

We are a fresh retail startup with short legs in B2B (Direct Corporate Sales) with a mission to redefine the buying decision of the consumers based on unbiased reviews along with cross and up selling quality products and brands.

We are looking for a person to head and manage our purchasing decisions, healthy negotiations and provide costing and pricing of consumer electronics products (Mobiles, Tablets, Branded Accessories, Cameras, Networking Devices and so on) for B2B and B2C sale.

Job Description

---------------------

1. Reporting to the CEO, the incumbent will have the following responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing, Costing & Maintenance

2. Identification, negotiation & agreement finalization with technology vendors/distributors/manufacturers for new products.

3. Process hand-holding of new vendors through quality/regulatory processes to ensure timeline driven launch

4. Ensuring continuity of supply & pricing control for all vendors/distributors.

5. Negotiation and Finalization of sourcing contracts (if available).

6. Development and maintenance of standard costs, as per varying market trends on a daily basis.

7. Develop Strategies for negotiation with vendors for procurement & purchase decision.

8. Data mining from various sources for establishing strong costing structure.

9. Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.

10. Provide guidance to purchase function for effective procurement solutions.

11. Benchmarking of costs of SKUs, from different suppliers.

12. Vendor development, evaluation and long-term relationship.

13. Alternate source development & risk mitigation strategies.

14. To establish and review standards for key operating processes in order to improve resource productivity.

15. To follow industry standard product nomenclature for various categories.

Job Specific Skills:

1. Dealing with cartels

2. Knowledge of standard costing, batch costing, white goods costing, product packaging costing, final Omni- channel costing.

3. Expert at Indian Taxation for Intra/Inter-State trade compliances.

4. Deep Negotiation skills.

5. Real-Time Analytical and Profit Loss monitoring skills.

Number crunching

MS Office and ERP knowledge is a must.
