Natural Environment Coherent Illumination: Dynamic Augmented Reality using Unity
Introduction:
Augmented Reality offers many applications today, especially on mobile devices. Due to the lack of mobile hardware for illumination measurements, photorealistic rendering with the consistent appearance of virtual objects is still an area of active research. To achieve coherent augmentations, there are three major topics we need to deal with: geometric registration, photometric registration and camera simulation.
Project Description
In this project, you will need to implement an interactive real-time illumination to detect the physical light source and produce the right corresponding reflection, shading and shadow on the augmented elements in the natural environment and make it look realistic.

You can use any SDK tools that available for augmented reality such as Vuforia, ARtoolKit, Tango, Kuden or ARCore as long as you use it inside Unity engine and I will be able to build and run the project on handheld devices. I am familiar with unity and Vuforia.
What to hand in:
You will hand in a report, video tutorial and source code for this project. Put the source code as well as any supporting data into a single folder, then zip the folder. Upload the video tutorial as a separate document either as a word or pdf file.
The video tutorial should contain all the steps so I can do the work and see the final results. You don’t have to speak during the video only record your screen while you are working.
The report only explains the general ideas you used and methods in short as bullet points.

also, the report should compare a virtual object light with a real one.
