I have two Blogspot blogs. The ownership of each needs to be verified through Google Search Console. I have attempted to place the HTML file from my Google Consoles into a footer gadget but I receive the message saying the verification was not successful, plus the Google HTML code showed up on the home page of the blog in the footer Gadget.

I need the ownership of two separate blogspot blogs to be claimed through Google console. I want this to make sure the blogs SEO better and show up on first page of Google.
