Intarnet DNS Setup

Hello,

I need someone that can write a guide on setting DNS settings for a intranet website within our network.

We have a Symantic Gateway 1600 that we use to manage the network, this also allows DNS settings.

We have WAMP installed and running on a system on the network, the ip address is [url removed, login to view]

If we type localhost / Computer name? or the ip in a web browser on the web server, this works, however if we do the same on another system in the network, only the ip address works and not the name.

At the end we do not want the name to be localhost? / Computer name, you will just have to tell us where to put the name of the site, that we want to enter in the browser.

So you need to research the gateway we have and found out how to use DNS to enable us to use a name instead of an Ip address.

The information should be in a Microsoft word 2003? document.
