Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated roboticist, based in Singapore, to develop a localization and mapping system for underwater hull-cleaning ROVs. The roboticist will be responsible for the development and implementation of the multimodal sensor systems, as well as the development, validation, and analysis of the sensor fusion algorithms. The roboticist will also be later involved in developing a semi-autonomous hull-cleaning ROV. The roboticist will work in person wth us.
Responsibilities
• Develop a robot prototype of the ROV.
• Develop sensor fusion algorithms using IMU and wheel encoders.
• Test the sensor fusion algorithm in test environments on the ROV prototype.
• Analyze and validate the data from the sensor fusion algorithms.
• Produce well-test C++ modules for receiving sensor data and performing sensor fusion.
• Create C++ bindings for Node.js.
Requirements
Essential Requirements
• Proficiency in C++, Node.js, and Python.
• Proficiency in C++ algorithms.
• Experience in localization and 2D/3D mapping algorithms.
• Experience in multimodal sensor fusion methodologies.
• Experience in developing prototypal robots.
• Experience in robot system design.
Non-Essential Requirements
• Experience in generating C++ bindings for Node.js.
• Experience in underwater robotics and ROVs.
• Experience in aerial drones.
• Experience in ROS.
