Name of salon is funky monkeez; monkeez represent attitude; urban, hip; funky, friendly (not scary); classy; if it was merchandized as a fluffy toy/s the monkey (mascot) is something little kids even little older kids (sub 10) want to take home and play with; visualize the monkey/s on merchandize- t-shirts, caps, shopping bags; walls; on shampoo bottles (alternatively just the name in full or abbreviated); for branding purposes the name should be distinctive; while the focus is on kids the parents will also be serviced at the same salon.
It's focussed on kids 0-14 (60%) but also catering to adults (40%).; reception area; workstations for kids in the form of chairs shaped like cars etc.; play-cutting area with Xbox/Wii for older kids (10-14); e.g. monitors at children's workstations to watch something (e.g. Teletubbies/Barney) while hair is being serviced; plasma tv's in adult sections; a coffee nook/tiny cash generating refreshment/waiting/reception area, party area to host children's parties (10 kids); bright fun colours; (preferably) -trend for this concept seem to be a single dominant colour on wall-but I want (possibly) to incl greens, yellow lilac/purple (shade of purple could be dominant colour-for walls or floor), bright blue , African, animal theme; retail section against a wall (display products for sale-shampoo etc); a fun, safe place for kids; size; place to inspire kids to chill, to want to be there; to enjoy the hair service experience AND to want to come back- just let your imagination go; Overall: a relaxing experience for parents, a fun experience for kids; Note re adults: not conventional salon from adults' perspective-it's for the kids and those young at heart , think out of the box monkey image-not conventional 'disney' image.
It's not a kindergarden. The logo must appeal to thse who control the wallet.
