Good day Freelancer.
I'm looking to develop a multifunction Membership system for a VIP private lounge. The software system comprises of the following 2 functions:
1) (C# programming .NET version 2.0/3.0)
VIP Lounge Membership System. - The membership system is a first of all, a moneyless society. Meaning that the card holder’s information, preferences, food ,drinks, favourite seat at the bar, deck,club or lounge, television selections, special needs /requests, bookings and anything else you they require are all stored on the database. (It gives you the VIP treatment, because just one swipe of the card pulls up all this information, and the waiter can make immediate suggestion on a drink for example. The system should also display the balance left - credit.
The ideal hardware to run this system on is one of those POS touchscreen computers with a magnetic card reader on the side. The reason being, it’s an all-in-one system which allows for easy functions such as swiping the card and then touching the screen perhaps to add some items onto the members’ bill.
The software should have a facility for reporting as well, so that it’s easy to print out or display the bill or bills, so that this printout can be used to reconcile the bills on drinks, because it runs independent of the GAAP software currently in use.
Ideally, I would like you as the Freelancer, to help guide the development of the software on the best approach possible. I’m thinking that, to start things off, the employee will swipe the member’s card on the reader. This immediately triggers options pop up on the screen, such as to load money, add drinks onto the bill, check balance, update membership, change preferences, make bookings etc.
** MEMBERSHIP **
It is important to note the following about membership packages:
MX10 - Annual 10 Members
MX8 - Annual 8 Members
MX6 - Annual 6 Members
MX1 - Annual 1 Member
MX6M - 6 month Member
MX3M - 3 month Member
TX30D - 30 days per Member
TX7D - 7 days per Member
Based on these packages, it shows that for example a Platinum Corporate MX10 allows a company to have 10 of their staff to be members under 1 business account holder. Account holder can decide to have it bill under 1 account, or each members’ spending is separate. I need an option for this in the system.
When it comes to billing the member for drinks, I wish to insert a few lines of code for SMS reporting. Please leave a // comment line where I’ll insert code. I suppose that when the card is swiped, the database should have pulled a recordset of the member’s information, and one of the fields will hold their mobile number.
* Cards can get lost – a function to reprogram a member’s new card should be present, after reprinting it.
2) (Asp.net,aspx, codeBehind in C#)
Web interface – This is a simple interface that allows a member to log in, and check their information. It could even calculate the days left till membership expires. It should also have a function to see History – how much was spent, balance remaining. This will pull information from the same SQL database for the VIP Private Lounge Membership System
Please make sure that for the project, it’s kept relatively simple and not overly complicated. I may need to tweak some things to bring this software more in line with my client’s requests.
1) Programming strictly in C# and ASP.net and using SQL. Running on a Windows 7 PC. SQL Express
2) I would need the project done in Visual Studio 2010 for the software, and Adobe Dreamweaver for the webpage interface.
3) Lastly if the project requires major tweaks or changes, I will need your input and help ASAP, preferably we can communicate via instant messaging such as on Skype, so as to speed up the development.
