I will use Amazon Lightsail which is just like digital ocean. This process should take you less than 2 hours. Both Node apps are small in size. The DB is small. You will install the node apps and database into instances and connect the db. SSH is provided and documentation. You must have a working knowledge of Node/React/Express/Mongo and Amazon.
Follow the steps below!
1.) Install 2 Node APPS, Run it and make sure it works
2.) Get the Mongo DB installed and connected to (2) node apps. This is better on separate instance
3.) Nginx setup proxy pass for all incoming traffic to node APPS!
4.) Not much to do on security since amazon has a firewall. Maybe just fail2 ban
