Write a Chrome plugin to operate a website

I want a plugin written for Chrome - or another good browser if that is easier. The plugin will need to operate a specific website automatically. This will involve selecting various option tabs, selecting drop down menu items, entering values to text boxes and clicking some buttons. The website is always laid out in a particular way but not all options are always availiable so there will need to be a process to check if the option desired is avaiable on the list.
The operation is basically one sequence which would involce 5-10 clicks and and there woudl need to be a couple of parameters as to which option is required. The whole operation of the plugin woudl be to execute this sequence taking into account the input parameters.
