Moodle performance tuning

I have built a Moodle site with some courses already uploaded but facing a problem with performance.
Courses are flash SWF generated from PPT by Captivate, are globally not that big (from 4 to 10Mb) but are taking ages to load...
Not 100% sure is it come by Moodle setup but would need some expertise...
