Twitter Bootstrap Modal Javascript Issue

I have a website to which I am trying to add a modal that opens a remote form. The modal is opening and loading the form, but I cannot get the form to submit via the buttons in the modal footer. Also, the modal javascript is breaking the other javascript functionality on my site. For example, the sorting for my tables is no longer working.
