I need a program (Perl or open to other suggestions) that can use the Twitter API to do the following. I want to be able to input keywords of my choosing (e.g. "election", "car", "chocolate" etc.) and I want the program (using the Twitter api) to search a database of all points on earth with specific radii (e.g. 50km) (I can supply this geo-information) and return back the number of tweets mentioning the specified keywords in each loation.
## Deliverables
It would also be useful (if the Twitter API allows this) for the program to limit the search to a specific time period (e.g. last hour or last day).
