Ok this is easier than the Project name sounds. Basically I need 2 simple scripts.
Script #1 just takes a variable 'sub1' so it gets called like [url removed, login to view]
and it saves those 's1' codes one per line. This file will be called by a Postback URL mechanism from some other site when a user buys a product. Each user is tracked using a code like that. So I am trying to save converted users (who purchased something) in this list.
Script #2 is on a landing page which initially has stored the code that was attached to this user's visit. The user has not converted yet. The landing page will have a link for the user to visit some product website in a new window. Below that link are 3 image html buttons, 3 form input buttons, or 3 links. The script must work with any of those options.
When the user clicks any of those bottom 3 buttons/links, the script must check that [url removed, login to view] file for the code that is stored in the current php environment of the landing page (the code was initially passed to the landing page when the user arrived on the page, so it is an accessible php variable called 's1')
If the subid is found in the [url removed, login to view] file, whatever link the button they clicked leads to, will work, loading in the same window. If not, then a red text error message will be shown above the buttons saying a message I can change as needed.
